Waitin' already?

Man…I’m already waiting in line at target for U2’s next album! (actually I’m not but I will be). This might be a conversation an employee might have with me while I’m waiting there:
Worker: what the hell you donin’ out here you bum? Go home!
Me: No way! I’m waiting in line for the new U2 album cause I’m more dedicated then
those Star Wars fans who wait a month in line….shoot a month…try 3 or 4 YEARS!
Worker: New U2 album?!? We don’t even have a new shipment of new U2 albums!
Me: Well you will soon. So get lost or get in back of me and be second in line
****and depending if he is a fan or not he’ll get in line after me. actually that was a stupid conversation but i thought it was funny when i was writing it.

I wanna go to the Grammys (or at least to the carpet to see maybe a glimpse of those mofos) but I don’t think I can. I mean my dad works like 2 blocks down and I could get a ride and everything but it’s cause it’s “a school night”. how many times has that got me down? But that’s ok….I’ll just watch it on TV like the rest of you. can you believe that my mom was almost not going to let me go to the concert because i had too much homework?!?!? i finished most of it but not ALL of it.....but still i wouldn't have given up my chance to go see U2 for all the money in the world! i think i'd be happy if i got a F in school and went to the concert then not going at all.

The other day in geometry we were calculating area for different shapes. And after you get your answer you put the units squared which looks something like u2 (except it's in exponent form)….so I gave a little smile and went on working. We also learned about kites earlier in that chapter, which didn’t remind me of the song until now that I am listening to it. Kites: a quadrilateral with 2 pairs of consecutive congruent sides and only one pair of congruent angles. I better have aced the test yesterday!

In honor of my friend’s 15th birthday we went to chili’s. her mom paid which was cool but pricey! It was a lot of fun, more than I expected. I thought it was just going to be eat, sing, cake, good-bye. It was a lot of talking and singing (to random stuff might I add). The older people who weren’t in our party were just like “wtf?” which was pretty funny. But I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get my apple martini because apparently they “don’t serve minors”. (actually that didn’t happen I just like to make up lies….but I did ask the peeps at the table if they could order me one….no luck) But all the time I was there everyone asked me if I was on something. I got asked like 5 or 6 times but I wasn’t…. I just get really hyper within 2 minutes….plus it must have been those sugar shots or the rum cake. Sugar shots? Yes sugar shots! It’s a game where you slide sugar packets back and forth with someone else. If it lands on the edge of the table then the other person takes a shot, if it falls off or ends up in the middle you keep passing it. I think I ate like 1 whole packet…it was good but it wasn’t my brand. I swear that cake had something in it! It was really good but it got me even crazier and confused. I hated that after we sang and ate the cake the host would look at us with the “it’s time to leave” look. We all know that look….it’s a glance but there’s something in that glance that says get out. So we left and waited outside for our rides to come for us. I thought it was cool that my mom let me stay out till 9:30 on “a school night”…usually I would have gotten in trouble but since I’m nearing 15 (in 21 days) I guess that means more responsibility. Upside to this: Hurray! I get to stay out “late” Downside to this: F**k more responsibility! merry christmas! (?)*

ummm.....rum cake! at least i had some kind of liquor

I Feel Numb

After answering C's blog about what makes me weird, I’ve thought of other stuff that is embarrassing and strange. I’m not going to share all of them but there is one thing I wanna say that I thought might be funny. When I was smaller I had an imaginary friend who was a monkey…I think it was an orangutan. His name was Munchie and we’d have crazy adventures! Mostly I’d dream about him but other times he’d be right next to me. And all the adults would ask me how he was and ask questions about him, and I’m now realizing that they were making fun of me! *tear* I don’t know how this memory came back in my head but it did. Munchie…that’s funny!

My fingers and feet are cold…..they feel Numb. My eye has been twitching since Thursday. When I was awake one time in Biology I learned once that your eye twitches cause you are lacking calcium or potassium. I guess I need to eat more oranges.

“You hit the jackpot mofo!” That’s a line from Daniel Tosh's stand up. I have no idea what it has to do with anything but I like it. “What time is it? ‘It’s ha ha now your poor time!’”. Daniel Tosh and Nick Swardson are the only stand up shows I have on my iPod. (I still need to put Dane Cook's, Tod Glass, Mitch Headberg ....) Speaking of stand up, my brother invited me to his stand up show (nice transition don’t ya think?). I’m leaning towards not going for my own safety of being humiliated. My brother’s performed at the improv downtown or where ever it is here in LA…and from what I heard from my aunt I was ragged on. If I was the least bit funny I’d make fun of him. In your face!

Where’s Pee Wee? Jail? Home? At the XXX movies? He needs to come back wherever he is. I miss Pee Wee’s playhouse! Remember how he (Paul Rubens not pee wee) had a game show called “You Don’t Know Jack”? A great STUPID show. And remember how Polly Pockets used to be the size of a dime and you couldn’t change their clothes? Now they are so big you can’t choke on them! What can I say….”times they are a changing”.

I got the @U2 podcast editions 1-8 through 1-5. In edition 1-7 Sherry gives tips on getting over post traumatic U2 show syndrome. If only the podcast would have come out in November instead of December I could have been relieved of my pain. wait it’s my fault 2 for not downloading it earlier….whatever. But by far I think edition 1-8 is the funniest. “Funny?” you may say….yes FUNNY! Not like pee my pants funny but funny. I also got 3 songs for my iPod: “Pressure Point” by The Zutons, “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” by The Smashing Pumpkins, and “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire. man…Arcade Fire is a really good new band. I mean I’m always saying that new bands suck but they don’t. The ones who suck are the wanna be punk bands with the lead singer who has a whinny voice. Yuck! But Block Party doesn’t suck either. My brother said that we need more black singers like the lead singer…not ones that sing rap and other crap. I totally agree. I like too Death Cab For Cutie….but I think they aren’t a “new” band but they are just getting more out there now.

man…I had a dream last night that made me sad….I wish it were real but it wouldn’t make sense of it was. Well it started when my sister’s friend came over to our house to play. My brother was gone to a U2 concert (my 2nd brother not the one with the comedy) and when he came home he wanted a chocolate cake. Turns out I had tickets for the concert 2! I guess they were playing 2 shows in one night!! (poor mofos don’t even get a 24 hour break) so my brother comes home and I’m still making the cake and I ask him where he got the tickets. He said the week after from when I told him they were going on tour he managed to get tickets for $55 and he charged it on my dad’s credit card. He didn’t buy a shirt cause they looked “girly”. So I gave up making the cake and went to change cause the concert was at 6:30 and it was already 5. then…then I woke up. And I know this can’t happen cause they won’t play their next concert till Feb. and they wouldn’t play 2 concerts in one night. and I HAVE tickets. I mean I didn’t even buy my own ticket when I went. But I want to go to another concert in Feb. in Mexico on the 16th cause it’s the day before my birthday…I think there is another one actually on the 17th but I can’t remember at this time. But I can’t go cause “it’s a school night” and I don’t think my mom would let me go to another country all by myself. But I’m going to Disneyland today which might make me forget all this….hopefully.

My head hurts and “I have to pee like a racehorse” (more Daniel Tosh 4 ya)….so I’ll leave ya here. So keep cool my babies*

The Girl's Got Reasons

Man! See what happens when u get a lot of homework and tests ? No blogs that’s what!! Nothing big has happened to me but then again nothing big ever does.

My iPod is awesome! I still haven’t put anything new on but Styx and new music videos. I only have 3 music videos that I have PURCHAED: Sometimes you can’t make it on your own [U2], Sour Girl [Stone Temple Pilots], and Y Control [The Yeah Yeah Yeahs]. Sour girl is a pretty good music video…it came out about the time teletubies came out and in the video there is big bunnies that turn evil and then here comes Sarah Michelle Gellar who indeed looks like a sour girl in the video. I have all kinds of other videos on my iPod but it’s stuff that I recorded on the computer like family guy and The Simpsons and of course U2! I have 631 songs….a mixture of genres: gothic (Bela Lugosi’s Dead by Bauhaus), grunge (Nirvana), Metal (Rage against the Machine), Country (Johnny Cash), Disco (The Bee Gees), Rock, Techno, Easy Listening….etc. If music were based on dogs I’d be a mutt. (that’s an odd comparison).

(that's a picture of my iPod so don't complain about the quality)

I got my U2.com membership card and free CDs about 10 days ago. There’s a Vertigo performance on the CD-ROM from Milan where Bono sings the opening line of Ballroom Blitz: “Are you ready, Steve? Andy? Mick? Alright, fellas, let's go!” I noticed that when I first saw it. He also in Live from Chicago sings some of Smashing Pumpkin’s Bullet With Butterfly Wings in the middle of Electric CO. What else? Hmmm…oh yes! I bought 2 U2 t-shirts that set me back $40. One’s green and has the suitcase from all that you can’t leave behind and the other is black and says war tour (even though I wasn’t alive to have seen the war tour). With my Visa Gift Certificate I bought the Joshua Tree DVD but it hasn’t come in the mail yet. Right now (well not now as we speak) I’m reading A Grand Madness: Ten Years On The Road With U2 by Dianne Beeaff. It put a new light on the meaning of a TRUE fan. It’s really well written and detailed…it’s like I’m at the concert! (well nothing can actually describe the feeling/ presence of being at the actual thing but she come pretty darn close!) I’m up to the part of the Zoo TV Tour which isn’t that far into the book at all…it’s just I don’t have time to sit down and read for an hour or so. But I really recommend reading it!

Not much plans for the 3 day MLK weekend. Tomorrow I’m going to my friend's party at Chucky Cheese. She doesn’t have to pay for the food or party just for her tokens….maybe not even that. The party is totally on us! I think some people find it strange (especially my family) that we r throwing a soon to be 15 year-old a party at Chucky Cheese. That’s the great part…who the F*** cares!! It’s fun!…except the part where they sing and stuff. But it’s going to be at 10 in the morning so not as much sticky kids are going to be there. Why are kids always sticky? My sister gets sticky sometimes and she didn’t even eat candy that day. I think I need to carry around a notebook or something to record all my thoughts!! I think so much…sometimes ideas on what to write in blogs so I don’t just wing it off the top of my head, which I usually do. Sometimes I wish my brain would have a printer so I can press a button and have all my ideas/thought on paper.

Oh! I still haven’t found what I’m looking for. By that I mean that I haven’t found my desire for life . Till then I’ll be here sitting, waiting, wishing*

Midnight is Where the [Year] Begins

wooohoooo!! take out those hats and champagne and party yourself out! but don't get drunk...well maybe a little.

New Year's Day...doesn't really feel like a new year to me. Yesterday I went to my grandma's house to celebrate. It felt a little off cause my brother left to go bowling and wasn't here to "ring in the new year". we got there at 7:30 and ate then headed up stairs to my cousin's room and watched tv (the Comedians of Comedy might i add but the full length documentary). Nothing big happened after...i played a little DDR (getting better but i can't make it to the harder levels yet). Like at 11:45 I came downstairs where everyone was setting up. Then all of a sudden like everyone starts partying. poppers went off....balloons everywhere....cider being served....grapes being served (if you're not mexican u won't understand the purpose of the grapes)...noise makers making loud noises. the countdown finally came...but no one counted down. at 3,2,1 everyone kinda looked around but no one was partying anymore! a minute or so passed and then everyone went "happy new year!" i guess my family's a little slow. we hugged and wished them the best year they could have. Then i chugged a mini-bottle of cider(which had as much liquid as a can of soda)...it was good but i felt sick afterwards. I played "New Year's Day" on a continuous loop cause i'm a nerd like that. we cleaned up (well not me...my mom) and then it was time to go home. I got home at 2:30 and fell asleep at 4.

I don't do resolutions cause i can never keep them. maybe if i decide to have one it'll be to not drink and drive.

Tomorrow my mom's side of the family and us are supposed to go to Disneyland if we don't get rained out. over here we are having a "storm" which i think means it rains a lot without stopping. the rose parade is tomorrow too....it going to rain on their parade! i've been there once and it sucked! so have a HAPPY NEW YEAR and the best of luck to u in 2006!*

-it's been about 9 hours since i posted this blog and right now i saw this artice title scroll through the toolbar: Bono Seeks To Balance Charitable Work. It's mainly about Bono thinking that he should take it easy with the fight against poverty for the sake of the band
